Cold Oven Cream Cheese Cake

This cold oven cake is moist and delicious!

Recipe

Ingredients:

Cake

  • 3 Sticks (1 1/2 cup) Butter (softened)
  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese (softened)
  • 3 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 3  cups All Purpose Flour
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

Butterscotch Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 1/2 Stick (1/4 cup) Butter
  • 1/2 cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • 4 oz. Cream Cheese (softened)
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

Instructions:

Cake

  1. Do not preheat oven.
  2. Cream together sugar, cream cheese, and butter in a stand mixer until smooth and creamy.
  3. Beat in eggs and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Slowly add flour until well incorporated.
  5. Spread into loaf pan. Place into cold oven, set to 325º F, and bake for 1 hour – 1 hour 25 minutes.

Frosting

  1. In stand mixer, blend butter and sugar until fluffy.
  2. Add cream cheese and vanilla, and blend until a frosting texture is achieved.
  3. Spread onto cooled cake.
